The ugly flip side to this is when someone is stupid enough to fake an answer. Not cool.

I learned this valuable lesson over 30 years ago as a “cub” salesman by working with engineers who took almost perverse pleasure in letting salesman make asses out of themselves by pretending to know answers that they obviously had NO clue about!
It’s certainly served me well over my career and allowed me to become a “connector” as well as a sales pro.
